Shift:
Days 4x10s or 5x8s – 40 hours guaranteed
On -Call – 3p-7a or 5p-7a – will be placed in the rotation once acclimated to the department
Weekend – only with call every 4th weekend
About the Facility
Our client is a 391-bed nonprofit hospital, with 17 OR Suites and an average of 60-80 OR cases per day. Our client is the largest of the nine Healthcare system hospitals located throughout northern Michigan. They are nationally recognized for superior quality care and operational performance. It is home to an award-winning heart program. It is the only Level II Trauma Center north of Grand Rapids, and has the only Neonatal Intensive Care Unit in northern Michigan. They also havebeen designated as a Primary Stroke Center by the Joint Commission.
Surgical Services works closely withsurgeons and anesthesiologists and is available 24 hours a day. The Surgical Services team is always at the ready to meet the needs of planned and emergency surgical needs for outpatients and inpatients throughout northern Michigan. To accommodate these needs, they have17 operating rooms equipped with the latest and most sophisticated equipment available. In 2011, Weadded two state-of-the art operating rooms that combine the surgical area with the pre-op holding space. These rooms are spacious, incorporate natural lighting, and the latest technology to better serve our patients and staff.
An Anesthesiology Medical Director, a Surgery Medical Director, and the Surgical Services Director lead surgical services. Additional staff includes OR nurses, surgical technologists, recovery room nurses, and nursing assistants.
Surgical programs include: bariatric surgery; cardiothoracic surgery; dental/oral surgery; ear, nose, and throat surgery; endovascular surgery; general surgery; gynecology; neurosurgery; ophthalmology; orthopedic surgery; plastic surgery, podiatry; urology; vascular surgery; as well as a recognized trauma.
