Job Description
- Utilizes the nursing process including: assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation and recording of patient care.
- Teaches, delegates and supervises other nursing staff in the provision of care.
- Coordinates services with other members of the health-care team to provide complex patient care.
- Practices within the scope of the North Carolina Nurse Practice Act and Person Memorial Hospital policies/procedures/standards.
- Reports to: Director in Inpatient Services
- FLSA: Non-exempt
Job Requirements
Minimum Education:
Successful completion of the Nursing Diploma Program or an Associates Degree in Nursing from an accredited school is required.
Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
Required Skills:
- Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
- Licenses: Registered Nurse License
- Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) is required upon hire or before the start of independent assignment.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) is required within 90 days of hire.
- Minimum Work Experience: Recommend 2-3 years of recent experience a healthcare setting.
